Some install/detail shots of my recent work, Young Nobleman, part of The Unspeakable curated by Peter Clough. The show is the 23rd installment of the Re: Show, a series of exhibitions taking place in the vacant areas of the Pfizer building, a decommissioned pharmaceutical factory in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. The show is in complete darkness and viewers must navigate the space with a flashlight. To learn more about the show click here.
This work a recreation of a river bed constructed with foliage from a gay cruising spot in Prospects Park. Resting of the bottom of the river is a silicone skin. The skin is formed using casts taken from my own body, as well as bdsm leather gear, military/boy scout patches, and car emblems.
The Unspeakable is on view until October 14th

Scout Shirt 1. A replica of one of my boy scout uniforms made in silicone. The shirt is pressed in an oversized acrylic ball crusher and pulled with a multitool and rope attached to the floor with a tent stake.
